Cheruthen honey is honey made by stingless bees where as regular honey is made by honey bees with sting. As stingless bees are Comparatively much smaller in size they can extract nectar from small flowers which honey bees find difficult to reach. Honey from these small wildflowers and those growing inside rock crevices in the dark are believed to be of higher medicinal value thus cheruthen is highly revered in ayurveda.
